The work we do impacts heavily on the environment so we are committed to reducing the effect wherever possible.
Our environmental policy sets out our approach to all areas of the business in terms of waste, materials and water, air and noise pollution.
Environmental policy statement
We hereby make the following commitment to reduce our effect on the environment:
“In all our activities, we will continuously work towards reducing our impacts on the environment.”
In order to work towards this commitment, we will:
- Work within all relevant legislation and with targets set by our clients to achieve best environment practice.
- As producers of waste, ensure that the dredging silts / debris disposal routes or reuses are considered and planned and then carried out in a sustainable manner.
- Aim to ensure that materials used and produced during projects are reused or sourced from or are form a sustainable source.
- Maintain our plant and vehicles in good order and through daily checks ensure that the plant is operating in an efficient way preventing pollution.
- During the planning stage of all projects give consideration to minimise the amount of goods vehicle use.
- Include at all site set ups for water, air and noise pollution control measures and use as needed.
This will be achieved by meeting our environmental objectives and targets, raising employee awareness, and the incorporation of environmental issues into the day-to-day running of our business as we strive for continual improvement.
