We understand that the ability to place the removed silt onto agricultural land where possible can have a major impact on the financial viability of a project, as typically this works out on average less than a fifth of the cost of sending the silt to land-fill. Of course this is sometimes unavoidable depending on the chemical analysis of the silt, but in the majority of cases redistribution onto agricultural land is a perfectly feasible option.
Blue Boar Contracts has spent many years developing relationships with farmers throughout the UK to facilitate land restoration activity.

However, new farms are required all the time, depending on the location of the project and our ability to approach and then work with the farmers to gain agreements for silt redistribution is a key part of the service we offer. In addition, we are well versed in the legislation surrounding farming subsidies and can advise farmers on what will and will not effect these.
