Bishop’s Palace Wells
The project:
To remove 4400m3 of silt which was increasing weed growth and affecting the wellbeing of the swans, kingfishers, fish and other wildlife.
Arrow Valley Lake
The project:
To restore the severely eroded banks and create access for 33 fishing platforms, some suitable for use by people with disabilities.
Llandrindod Wells Lake
The project:
To remove 3,500 m3 of silt from the 16 acre lake which had become shallow and eutrophic due to excessive nutrients in the sediment and water.
Queen’s Park Lake
The project:
To de-silt the lake as part of a £4m restoration programme and to undertake some lake edge restoration work.
Pittville Park
The project:
To de-silt the lower lake, rid the area of blue green algae and arrange the transportation of the silt to local agricultural land.
